KonicaMinolta C552 dog ears on 2-sided copies

I have a KonicaMinolta C552 folding the corner of 11X17 doing 2-sided copies. Problem seems to occur on side 2 before the paper gets to the transfer belt. The fold is on the rear side of the machine and happens on 20# and 70# paper. Any ideas? Tried a different fuser. It is intermittent.

Have you tried stopping it when the 20# page is being retracted back to duplex unit. Open front door, perhaps. The best way to know is to just remove the duplex unit and check for piece of ripped paper from previous jams across the whole path. That paper could have been sitting there for a while. It may not happen on Letter size as its travel path may be too short, considering certain degree of skew from the paper tray. I had something simmilar.

Check for any burrs on ribs across path.

The other day I had a 452 putting a crease on the front of 14" and 11r out of tray 2 because the side guides slid all the way to the back. The physical centering adj under the lift plate. Maybe yours has slid back and is hitting a guide. Maybe.
