    My machines failed yet again.

    HV did nothing.

Going to vacuum out cyan hopper, throw away toner and install fresh bottle along with yet another dev unit and drum. The frequency of occurrence is increasing exponentially. Not even lasting a week now. What ever it is will be discovered soon. (unless the customer goes postal and the machine is replaced, then all is lost)

Aftermarket toner / incorrect model is not an option in my situation.

why we are not trying different toner, I think it is manufacturing defect which KM will never accept.
    Please try another toner
say C8000 tomer is good for C224 / C220 series.
Although it does does not contained developer it can be used for isolating problem.
we are using C8000 toner regularly without any problem, when dev level goes down(for 224 series, C220 as it does not contain dev for CMY ) after 100/150 K we add up with C8000 developer without any problem.
I do not know but this could be best solution and also it is very profitable as toner is cheap gets refilled three times in one set.
    Hope this helps.

Dont know if the actual dev is different but i know KM region lock consumables.

C360 series devs also come in a similar state and i always correct them by manually agitating to get rid of the pile too. I think in the hundreds if not thousands of times I've worked on a c360 series machine, I have only seen a stripped developer once. For all their crappiness in tray one and two paper feed units they have to be one of the most reliable machines ever to of been built. Though getting a little old and crusty now and the odd one is starting to fail electrically.

yes correct the one that is causing most issue is the dev unit draining for no apparent reasoning.

No codes and all levels are correct this is the most concerning one.

I still can not beleive this is not a more common problem through out the industry. It seem s that i am the only person that is having this issue on a major scale.
If the copier would be failing within weeks i would say i am doing something wrong but after a year to 18 months then no.
I am also confused as to why it is only the CYAN dev unit that is having the issues.

Oh well onwards and upwards we will get there in the end.
I THINK we have a new c364e machine also destroying cyan dev units it already failed 2 weeks ago. Will know more on Monday, I think it's failed again. I'd be happier getting 80k, i cant even get 10k at the moment.

Precisely 6000 colour pages printed since last failure.

cyan corkscrew patterns again, cyan drum charge grid contaminated, developer and toner stains at edge of top side of drum cartridge where its been tracking into the waste section.

Time to try the HV board me thinks.

I have only had this problem when running original. (many don't, not by my choice)

This is probably irrelevant, unless in circumstances where extremely High Toner coverage is constantly printed, causing high replenishing..?
Could this be overloading the units with Developer and causing the overspill?

Thought I would just contribute this...
Very interesting UKTeam. Thank you for that information. When was that bulletin released if you that info?
