    Develop 163 platen copy problem.

    when self print is produce the print is clear and okay but during photocopying, especially at the platen the produced copy is half clear and half dark(black). need your help guys. Thanks.

    The optics are clean?
    How are the scans?

      Yes its clean. This is my first encounter of such problem in this model and my suspicion, it could be the bulb at fault. what do you think sir?

        Bulb have a strong green light?test with another one if you have a spare.
        Can't remember if that plastic between last lens and CCD is thighten by painted screws,worth a try cleaning the CCD sensor,could be some haze there.

          Shading sheet reading portion (the portion on the backside of the original glass to which original width scale is affixed) is dirty.
