Customer gets this code about once a day and has to restart machine. There is firmware to fix this issue but my problem is if I try to update firmware the machine boots up to 2 pillars on the screen and gets stuck there. No black dot in upper right of screen either. I have tried to replace MFP board but it still locked up at 2 pillars. Have replaced SSD Board and it did the same thing. Have also tried booting up with HDD unplugged and it does the same thing. The machine is recognizing the USB because it lights up when I power it on. Im going to try memory module on Monday. Anyone seen this?

Re: CE301 BHC554
First I would have tried a full format not quick format for Fat32. This series is picky. I would have tried another stick too. Also how long did you wait. The two pillars may be see for a few minutes before the firmware screen comes up. Especially if you put a new SSD board in it can take I've seen up to 25 mins for the firmware screen to load.Comment

Re: CE301 BHC554
Thanks, did you get through the A9 firmware first?
I strongly believe this is the Version Up firmware. And any other are build from there onwards. I was advised to not to downgrade below C8, but that may prove only if tried.
My machine is also dropping CE301 every now and then currently at G20-G9.
J8 and K1 should take care of it but waiting for licencing.
Has anyone noticed the CE301 to disappear after loading the J6 or K1?
