Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
wseyller,
You mean konica minolta "DOES NOT" list gears separately correct?
I couldn't see it listed in the parts manual either..
Is there any place I can buy after market gear?
ThanksLast edited by thendral; 04-24-2015, 12:52 AM.Leave a comment:

Konica Minolta does list gears on this model as separate items only the complete fuser. Only other option is if you can find aftermarket or find a used fuserLeave a comment:

Thanks ZOOTECH. It was because of the transportation. The copier was transported from one place to another.
I did checked other gears those looks good.
Thanks

If you find a gear and want to replace it, you may want to find out what caused the teeth to get sheared off that way first.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
Hello Thanks to all of you gave ideas where to look.
Here is the problem:
It is in the fuser there seems to be one gear lost several teeths. See pictures below:
Picture #4 & #5 (click to enlarge all the pics) see the area I circled with red.
My question now: Is it possible to buy this gear? I don't see it anywhere even in the parts manual..
If I can please let me know. Or if any one has old used fuser and can ship it to me I am willing to pay.
I hate to see this fuser go waste as it only has 20% usage.
Thanks

Eject Drive Unit A00J R726 11
I think I have a used one that was changed for diagnostic purposes (it turns out if was working just fine) that I can sell to you for cheap if this is one of budget machines that no one wants to spend money on.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
Yes the good old 451, the machine that came with a free set of ear defenders for the unlucky customer who had to sit next to it all day, every day! Just joking, they weren't too bad. Yes your right the bushing ovals out causing the gear to skip, hence the uneven drive speed. The one way gear on the exit unit can cause a similar issue and show as a finisher jam. However in this case stick to plan A. We had a customer who was very picky and call you out for the tiniest of squeaks. We have a bit of a joker who works for us and he decided to teach her a lesson. He bought a realistic looking toy rat and smuggled it into the machine and then called her over saying he had found the reason for the squeak. When she came over he pulled the rat from inside the machine and she screamed. That surprisingly stopped her being so fussy!!! Shame it wasn't a banging noise because he would probably taken his gun in!!Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
Seems to me I just fixed one like that. It was the BHC552. It was a squeek coming from a couple of
Gears. After that it was a ticking sound of a gear skipping a tooth especially when paper was fed.
It turns out that the gears on the spring loaded drive for the duplex entrance were the source of the squeek.
The gear that drives those two gears would skip a tooth. This slows the front part of the page,
The trail edge I still at normal speed and pushes the page and causes the wavy trail edge.
It was the bushing for the shaft that drives the lower gear of this three gear assembly.
I could touch the lower gear and the shaft & gear would move around.
Looking at the right side of the machine with the door open it is located in the upper right area.
I think I had to pull the fuser motor and fan and some other stuff to get to the bushing.

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
Thanks a lot to all of you. You guys are great.
Here is the action plan:
Wrinkled Paper:
Image is clear. Copies are also clear.
I will check out the eject drive assembly.
Noise:
I will check the fuser again.
I will remove the idle gear and run the copier to see if that reduces the noise.
I will also check the duplex turnaround section.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
You are correct Wseyller it is the eject drive system that causes wrinkled paper usually trailling 1/3 od A3 paper.
the noise if it is not the fuser is the duplex turnaround section. They did modify it with black rollers as the un-modified had white plastic ones.
if you remove the idle gear and run the copier it will give you an idea.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
Ive seen this before but my memory of it is not good. I believe it is a common issue with this model. It is around the fuser section but maybe not the fuser itself but the "eject drive assy" rings a bell.
Correct me if I'm wrong.Leave a comment:

Re: Bizhub C451 - copies wrinkled & Ilde noise - squeaking and knocking noise
The idle noise it "normal". Is the image not distorted?
Maybe a flat spot or something going slow fast slow fast?
Is the paper OK?
Looks like it is cause by a roller the covers the entire page, that leaves the registration and fuser.Leave a comment:
