    Konica Minolta C280 Drum Installation Error

    Hi All
    Have an intermittent fault on C280
    Machine throws up Drum Installation Error
    it has happened 3 time in the last 2 months
    unfortunate this machine is long distance away
    the engineer attends and checks connectors etc. obviously on two occasions we have fit new drums as we were unsure whether one was faulty; this clears it for a little while.

    anyone had a similar fault can point me in the direction of a fix

      had this on a machine once, its wiring harness to the drum contacts was chewed by rodents and would only work for a while.

      I would replace the harness and the contact unit. I seem to recall hearing some other issue where by the drum locking levers may not operate correctly and I believe that is a nightmare to correct too.

          I had this issue once...We had to pull the machine from the field because after replacing boards, wiring harnesses and drum the problem would go away and always come back. I'd love to know what you find out. Good luck!
