BH C452 black toner TN413K vs TN613K

The 413K is for the C452 and the 613K is for the C552/662.
I got the tn613k by accident. My question is, if I cheat the key on the 613K it will fit
in the C452, but is the toner the same as in the tn413K?

I believe the machine will still reject it as chip will still tell it that it is the incorrect version.

as for the toner itself it isn't any different, its sold as 2 versions for "marketing" reasons.

Good point about the chip. I'm not going to make habit of doing
this, but I didn't want to waste it if i don't have to.

Jrf, you say it works, just like it is? No changing the chip,
just remove the key?

WOW exactly the same question i was thinking to post yesterday, coz i asked the dealer for c452 black toner and the guy gave me tn613k, i did a lot of research on toner and though of having it changed to tn413k, but i was in the middle of copying and machine asked for new toner as k is depleted, so i went ahead and installed new TN613K and it started working fine

what i understand form googling is this

Konica is manufacturing Smitri polymerized Toners since 2000 now they have smitri HD & smitri HD+ toners

all machines starting from c451 series and c452 series use the same toner (please correct me if i am wrong) the packing and model no. is different but same from inside

there is no need to change the chip it same will work fine in C452

Not related to the topic but my c452 USB is not working

when i plug it it in it detectes the USB but the screen to print or scan wont POP UP?

That's interesting. I have had the wrong black version be rejected before. Does the 413 work in the 613 machine? wtf is the point of having both versions then ?

Better to create a new thread.

Does the small USB icon on the bottom of the screen display? Have you tried a different port?

yes the icon show in the bottom, but the menu asking for print or scan does not pop up! and there is only one USB port on c452


AND EarthKmTech what in the world happened to your avatar?
i dont know if any one tried it or not but 413 should work fine too in c552 in theory

Look under. Administrator -> system settings -> user box settings -> external memory function. Make sure print and scan is switched on.

Earthkmtech, the reason for two versions is money. It's different so they can charge a different price.Usually more.

At least I won't get stuck with it.
As far as the usb thing, keep it going. I would like to know how it turns out should it happen to me.

Yes i my 452 is still working fine with tn613k in it .. so i guess it safe to say that they are the same
