    c200 using windows 8.1 cant get Scanning to work - keeps waiting??

    Hi I have firmware ver 37 on it and it scans fine off xp , vista and win 7
    can not get it scanning on 8.1

    here's what ive done
    scan folder on c drive done all permissions for sharing then shortcut to desktop
    gone in to network and sharing and tick file and printer share also got told to go in to all networks tab and tick enable 40 - 56 bit encryption
    gone in to smb on copier web server and used host name and tested with ip address as well
    also checked in add and remove left side tab -turn turn wins features on/off - select smb 1.0/cifs file sharing - then ok

    Do I need to put version firmware 38 on it?

      Did you turn off password protected sharing on the Win 8.1 machine?

          Hi copier addict,

          I have also just tried your idea... still didn't work...tried using host name then test. tried using ip address and test... I presumed your setting is under network sharing centre > change advanced sharing tab > scroll to network > tick turn off password sharing...

          still stuck!

              I believe winblows 8 uses smb v3.0 if so that machine does not support it.
              Try the following kb bulletin from microshaft and try going to smb 2 or smb 1 and see if it works that way.
