Konica C280 SMB Forward TX error

    Hi everyone,

Having problems with the scan to folder function on a C280.
Error is displayed after trying to scan a document 'forward tx'.

I have tried everything that I can think of to get it working.

    details:

    Machine Firmware: D2
    Ntml settings changed to V1/2
Ip address and dns address's are all correct

    Os: windows 7 x64
    Scan folder created under users\Public\Scans
    No passwords
Windows file and printer sharing settings have been enabled, including network discovery. Password protection disabled.
Firewall: Belkin router, Avast Internet security (both have been disabled and configured to allow port 139)

Only one PC having the issue, and seems to be very intermittent.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The forward tx I have seen a couple times and can be hard to resolve. My advice is to give up and use ftp utility and save yourself some time.

Is it on a public network? even with a work or private network the machine may still think it is public.
try adding a user with a password, add user to folder permission and security with full access.
      is the folder shared?
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

what OS is the PC your scanning to?

        Is it running SMB3?

        SMB3 isnt supported by a C360 range

do you have the SMB folder address registered with an IP or Computer Name?
is it possible that you have an IP conflict on the network?check the power settings for the network card and ensure that the network power setting is disabled.
I have had this cause a problem in the past with lesser cards, the power save feature disabled the card till the computer was rebooted.

funny enough that I just had a very similar issue the other day after posting here.
did some time consuming troubleshooting of the network and cabling.
turns out that a mouse had chewed through 2 of the wires and that was the issue of no scan connection.
have a good look at the cabling and run a separate cable from the switch/router to the computer in question and see if it resolves the problem.
