Kyocera Taskalf 5500i code 9002, any ideas, need help with this one

ok here's what I know, it appears from the event log that code 9001 came up 1st

This copier has the DP-771, now you can copy only from the glass.

If you put a copy on the DP-771 the original never raises code 9002 comes up.

we have never seen this before. any ideas need some help with this one!

Had this twice. Confused the hell out of me until I checked the DP switches in service mode and noticed one was 'active'. Gave it a wipe and hey presto.

I think it's one of the sensors further down the path, the DPCS or DPTS sensor (in the service manual).

Also had a friend at another company call me on this one as it stumped him too.

photo.JPGThis repair took a lot of time the Actuator for the lift sensor & exit sensor had been pulled out of track. OK, this call ranks in the top 10 as one of the worst copier calls I've seen in over 25 years.
Considering that the service manual does not show you how to take this ADF apart, at least not to this degree.

I've been to several copier schools, they usually don't spend much time on ADF or on finishers.

I've enclosed a picture of this, to help anyone comes across this same problem.
