    Ram Disk Full FS-C8520MFP

We have a FS-C8520 that says "ram disk full" when Client is printing 40ish page doc and wanting 8 sets. 1 set at a time works fine. memory size 1.5 GB,.. Ram disk "on" and it's 64.0 MB. the job sent ( per the fire cheif ) = 24 MB. He wasn't sure of the DPI setting on this job. I am more of a hardware guy, computer side of these things challange me.
Yes I fly the old steam gages not the new Flat screen EFIS's ( althugh I do use the GSP )

Problem is memory. Upgrade and max out the memory I believe it is 1gb on that series and firmware update. Reason this happens is they are printing an unknown file format or in this case sounds like a "font" it is not recognizing. It will print fine till it gets to that page and machine will stop and display the message. Max out memory ($30-$75 online depends on storage) DOES NOT have to be OEM, I get my memory from Memory Experts for a majority of my stick memory.

Almost sounds like a "complex" PDF issue where the PDF hasn't been "flattened" properly and the machine spools out of memory during processing!

Things can turn to shyte with complex PDF's!

PS--I do a yearbook for my wife's school and compile the yearbook to a flattened PDF which is then printed full color 1 page at a time and collated after the fact (due to no finisher) and spiral bound...I will tell you, I can print at about 200 DPI and the image looks perfectly fine to me...mind you, this is at full color, so 200 DPI x 4 color actually turns out to be 800 DPI based on the dot linescreen and diffusion pattern!...Looks fine for me!...and with my graphics background people who analize (...yes, I said anal-ize) over DPI and resolution, waste a hell of alot of time in process and output of the document. I realized this when I took photography and also doing a late nite assignment for SIFE--Students In Free Enterprise!--DOH!
