    [Misc] FS-4020 Reset Maintenance Count

Apologies for this one! Can anyone tell me how to reset the counts on the FS4020, when installing a kit. This kit has been fitted before "Install MK" message appeared.

According to the manual, all you do is go through the menu to service, then maintenance, where you reset them. However, this FS4020 in particular does not have the Maintenance (or Write Data) in the menu. Possibly because of old firmware.

How does the machine then know you have a kit fitted? Is it to do with dev initialisation maybe? We thought we would be smart and tone up the dev unit in the workshop to save time, so it hasnt been done on site.

    Cheers!

Reset the Drum Counter. This will get rid install Maintenance message.

Enter the maintenance mode [>>DRUM-CTRL].2. Press the OK key. [>>DRUM-CTRL?] will be displayed.3. Press the OK key.4. Press the T key or S key and select the desire mode (from 00 to 02).

The difference between the maintenance sub-menu and the developer reset is only that the maintenance counter includes resetting the drum, which I don't think older firmware tracks. I could be wrong. So, dev initializing should reset it for you.

Print the service status page and check your count from there. If you have a service manual, you should be able to see which line references it.

Goto Adjust and Maintenance and hit reset. Only shows up when Maintenance message happens.
