    2626 5150 image problems

I have had 3 FS-C2626's and one FS-C5150 and one other similar model start printing these lines out of nowhere in the last 30 days. Twice I have had to replace the drums and developer. Now I have more machines doing this. I have only had one machine in the past do this and there was an explanation for that one. These do not seem to have one.

Has anyone come across this and if so what was the cause. It is becoming a very expensive problem.

    Thanks

That is the developer unit. We call it the "rice krispie" problem. Are they using OEM toner? Seen it way more on generic toner but it can still happen.

We use strictly OEM on color machines. I am amazed that this problem started showing up a month ago. The average time in the field on these units is two years.

Its definitely in the developer. I had 2 of the 2126s and if I remember correctly this problem also followed the 2626 and the 5150. It was a dev bias issue with that kyocera put a spacer kit out for. I have the instructions somewhere...I'll see if I can dig them up for you.

Just a warning...If memory servers me correctly ,allow 5+ hours for your first adventure.

              Is this resolved?

If not, before you try Richmods suggestions with the kyocera service bulletin that's asking you to deconstruction engineering of the machine which takes hours on these small mfps. HATE THEM! Try adjusting the machines altitude in system menu power off, then replace the cyan developer turn on and run the tone up simulation a few times (developer refresh)

I have seen this several times before but as Richmods says it generally occurs after 18-24 months.
