fs 6530 crap copies in the morning and at lunch time...

fs 6530 first thing in the morning... all the copies through the adf for first 5 minutes are garbage... sized too large... flipped backwards... cuttoff.. left or right side... comes out landscape when should be portrait and a variety of issues... and a variety of other issues when going through the adf... no jamming though... after first five minutes or it warms up all is well... same thing happens at lunch time when machine has to warm up... customer only has the machine set to make copies...

I am going to update firmware... but i am checking with you guys to see if anyone has faced this issue...

the only cable connected to this machine is the power cable...

no fax or network cable installed...

also this machine is superslow... any ideas on that would also be appreciated...

ok... I spoke with kyocera and with some other techs...
Troubleshooting steps...
1. update firmware... corruption issue addressed in firmware
2. do your best to extend the timers so the machine never sleeps and make sure quick recovery is on.
3. if possible connect machine to wall or replace power strip...
4. check for environmental variables... microwaves and other things being used on the circuit that are energy hogs can cause this issue...
5. check power at the wall outlet with a meter

Check Bulletin 102, is probably what Tech Support was referencing

Maybe check and make sure RAM Disk setting is still turned ON. And all the other stuff you mentioned. Good luck

Is the issue resolved? I have seen that before and I extended sleep mode to the full so it stays up longer and quick recovery. But why would it happen at lunch time. Do they power of the machine then?

Check Bulletin 102, is probably what Tech Support was referencing

Emergency firmware re-install/update!

Check with Kyocera for the proper procedure on that model!

update... contacted kyocera.... went through a procedure where they have energy saver and quick something... in any case we picked energy saver and then unchecked all the items... I was told this would prevent the copier from going into such a deep sleep that it causes issues... used regular firmware... per kyo... looks good no call backs... I will let you guys know how it goes...
