I thought this was done through service mode using a USB stick.

yep, U224. Don't recall ever doing it on a saturn, though the 5500 series requires a 480x800 PNG.

You can do it on a 400ci it is called panel sheet extension. I did it once some of the directions are in the manual at sim 224, but from what I remember you had to make the image a certain size

Search on this forum for Splash/Welcome Screen, there is the solution. Is almost the same since TA250ci
