Drivers Kyocera Taskalfa 250ci not printing in color with mac drivers

    Good Morning,

I Installed a 250ci yesterday and I input the IP in a Mac environment and choose PCL drivers however when it prints it does not print in color just black and white. However when I installed the drivers on a PC it is printing excellent in color might I be missing something on the mac? and setting in the drivers..

Please help me so I can print in color with the mac

    Glen
    Thank You,

Use the KX driver and try it. KX will do the PostScript emulation so you should always use that driver on mac

        Glen,
There is no KX driver for Mac. I don't know what version of Mac OS you are using, but most Mac drivers are available on KDA Connect as well as Kyocera's public site. You can also download the PPD file and point the driver back to that and it will work nicely for normal printing. The PPD may state that it is for Linux or some other operation system, but it won't matter, PPD's are the same regardless or operating system, so it will work fine with the Mac. If you are not using special features like account codes, the PPD install method is probably the easiest to do.

Your MFP is a legacy product. Printer drivers can be found here:

Download Center - KYOCERA Document Solutions America
Apple Printer drivers are towards bottom of the list.

Apple/Mac has NEVER used KX or XPS print drivers --Only windoze based PC's!

Apple/Mac and any version of *nix--Linux, Unix, etc. ONLY uses PPD (PostScript Printer Drivers)!

Learn about CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) here!:

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CUPS

Access the CUPS GUI in Safari by typing in the URL bar "localhost:631"--minus the quotes of course!!!
