I have a customer with an ecosys p6130cdn that regularly throws a 4600 error code. I can usually power cycle it and it will run ok for a while. Last month I took it all apart and looked at the laser cleaner drive and it all seemed ok. Has anyone else experienced this and are there any tips or tricks you can share?

A temp fix is to disconnect the cleaning motor from the engine pwb, untill a solution is found.
The machine i worked on was a M6035 which has the same design and throwed the same error code.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burke -

Was waiting to see this post. There is an actuall bulletin for this from kyocera. But is hearing it is still occuring. I Had one in the shop and manged to get it going and so far after two months no call backs. I Removed the entire laser cleaning motor drive assy and lube that assy to make sure it is moving smoothly. You have to remove the lasers, which is fairly easy and clean the gears and lube them with grease containing ptfe. PTFE is specially formulated to not break down the plastic and others. When you remove the laser motor assy, remove the gears, clean and lubricate them.

There is another bulletin about this that we have found resolves the problem. This along with the bulletin Subaro mentioned above has solved the problem for us. Apply both bulletins while the printer is disassembled and this should solve the problem. If it does not solve the problem, replace the laser cleaner motor. The bulletin number is 2NR-0016 (G031).Comment

I fixed the problem!!!!! You'll have to replace the entire assembly that hold the cleaning motor. Along with the motor. And there you go! Fix I'm 1000percent certainComment
