    Kyocera taskalfa DP-760 vs DP-760

    Hi folks

Stupid question from someone that doesn't have access to Kyocera's dealer site.

We have a Kyocera taskalfa 300ci in the field with a DP-750 type ADF, is it possible to fit the DP-760 on to this machine??? I notice the DP-760 has two connections to the base of the machine (1 molex and 1 mini scuzzi type deal), but the DP-750 only has the 1 molex type connection.

Has anyone ever put the DP-760 on the TA 300ci? where does the scuzzi type connection go? does the TA 300ci need an extra board or to change boards?

This is driving me nuts since the brochure I read say the DP760 can fit on the TA 300ci, but don't know what to do with that extra scuzzi connection.

    Thanks

To be more exact - the DP 760 has a "wire interface video cable" Part number 303LK46011

The DP 750 does not, and the 300ci does not have the interface on the body of the machine to accept that connection.

Main question is, how can the DP-760 fit on the 300ci when I can't plug in the video cable?

    Thanks

Best place to look in the Installation Guide. There you'd see on page 9 the DP Relay Board being installed.

The DP-760 is an option and will work on this machine. You will need the interface pwb that will connect with the scsi type connector that you are seeing.

303LK94040 ----- PARTS DP IF PWB ASSY SP (Dual Scan DP)

          DP-760
This device is a Dual Scan Document Processor. It scans both sides in one pass and allows up to 100 images per minute at 300dpi to be scanned.
