[Jamming] Kyocera taskalfa 3500 jam code 4118

Machine works fine on single sided copying. When duplexing page sticks halfway out of eject area and jams. Machine asks for jams to be removed from duplexer and fuser even with no page in duplexer. it is acting as if a sensor is faulty but not sure which one. Replaced fuser and senor in duplex inlet. still goes into jam Code is 4118 . Any help would be appreciated thanks

The clutch needs to be replaced and check the white pinch rollers at the registration, the holder for the rear set always gives out. (If you pull the bypass feed out you will find white plastic dust around them)

White rollers look ok. there was lots of toner in duplexer. I cleaned it pretty good. But I wonder if toner got into clutch? ill have to pull out n see. Is clutch serviceable?

The clutch is better served to be replaced as the disk parts inside are very thin, I would also look harder at those white rollers, you can press on them and if they click/snap back in the holder when pressed the holder is failed.
302K908250 HOLDER MIDDLE PULLEY. These machines are mono component so there would be only toner in the clutch not developer.

If you have not solved this problem already, the 4118 code is the loop sensor located just above the transfer belt. If my memory serves me correctly it is a reflective sensor so if you found toner in the duplex section it may have gotten on to the sensor and is providing a false reading. It is strange that you can do single sided copies and not duplex as the sensor is active for both controlling the fuser speed. It still would be worth a check.

Thank you for responding. I changed clutch in and that fixed problem. It was staying on continuously.
              Thanks again to all
