    POP error.

I have an issue that is vexing me. Two machines a 3051i and a 3501i in the same building, on the same network, and in the same room. Both set up exactly the same with updated firmware on each. On the 3051 it send emails and prints them perfectly, the 3501 comes back with a SSL security certificate error, again same settings.

We have actually exported the security cert and imported it into the exchange server, we have also white listed all traffic from the copiers MAC address and the issue still persists.

At this point I would appreciate any comments or suggestions at all, as I am starting to get a little frustrated.

You say that both the 3051i and 3501i are setup the same? Are they using the same email server? Did you have to register the 3051i's certificate with the server? Using POP is there a valid user setup on the 3501i. Since both machines use identical protocols, I would investigate the setup on both machines and make sure they are "identical"! It really sounds to me that one machine is requiring SSL and the other is not if they are on the same server. If the units use two different email servers the servers may not be setup the same even though IT says they are. Have you tried eliminating the requirement for SSL on the 3501i? As an after thought are the email server(s) internal or external? Are they using their own email servers or an external one like GMAIL? Are both units on the same IP segment and sub-net? We had an issue a few months ago were IT assured us that the username and password were correct only to find out that linking across IP segments the controling server did not have that username and password registered which prevented the machiness access.
