Kyocera-Mita KM-4530

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a fix for the dampness problem in the paper in the bottom two trays of the Kyocera-Mita KM-4530? For some reason the paper just seems to soak up all the moisture in the room. I know environment plays a part but it seems to be in a good enough environment where it shouldn't be getting this problem this often. Any help appreciated, thank you.

Drawer heaters are installed but not connected.

Try this! This procedure is in the service manual set-up.

1. Remove the lower rear cover.
2. Connect the connector of the drawer heater relay
cable to CN12 of the power source PCB.

3. Refit the lower rear cover.
4. turn sim 339 drawer heaters to ON

What symptom are you getting to know you have damp paper. I ask because I have a few KM-5530's that are making light areas that look like damp paper, but I think there is another problem....

I'm getting damp paper. I found out though that the heaters aren't plugged in. I found the plugs but couldn't find where they go, I'm assuming this means they aren't there but was wondering if maybe they just aren't visible? Thank you for any help.

You say you are getting damp paper, but what symptom are you having? I have seen some KM-4530's and km-5530's have void areas, that are not caused by damp paper.

The connection is on the power supply board. I had to unplug something else and lie on the floor to be able to see it. The plug is just long enough to make it.

Sorry Copydr I meant to say that the copies were coming out light, but when I run the copy back through the copies get better. The problem only occurs on the bottom two trays.
