Google is your friend. I googled MAC v10.10 smb. Confirmed my suspicion, Yosemite (10.10) requires "SMBUP" in order for scan to SMB operations.

Google first, its an amazing time-saver.

If you phrase your inquiry properly, you will get the answers you seek...
