[Misc] Color registration problem on FS-C8520 MFP

Hi all,
I have color registration problem with a FS-C8520MFP; see this file Color registration problem.pdf. After color calibration and color registration, it's still. If there is service bulletin about it, I would be glad to get.

First update the firmware full not turbo. Then redo the color reg, you may have to do this multiple times.

Had one of these a month ago, colors way off! Running calibration and registration was no help. Turned out to be the secondary HV board, 302K094270 2K094270 PARTS HVU2 replaced this board and everything came back in to spec and gave the user the colors they were accustomed to.

How many times did you run calibration ? In the past I had to run it 4-5 times before I was able to get it into specs..Then it was good for about a month, I wonder if I have the same problem.

Are you working on the same model? Smaller MFPs like the 2626 have special firmware to address this issue.

I probably ran calibration, toner cure adjustment, registration adjustment five or six times. It would last a few days and then get wacked out again. Replacing the HV2 solved the issue for that unit, had another unit where simply removing the board and cleaning the toner dust off the board and the contacts also resolved the problem. In both cases running calibration multiple times only temporarily fixed the issue. I would start with removing the board and cleaning it thoroughly and see what happens. If that does not resolve the problem then you should replaced the board.
