    [Misc] 6052ci black toner yield.

Has anyone had issues with the black toner not doing anywhere near its 30K yield. We are experiencing lots of these now where the black toner is only doing in some cases 20-30%. Non of the service reports show that a high coverage is being copied. Black and colour at 5% or under.

We've noticed that if a customer copies something with a tiny bit of colour say 2% and the rest of page has lots more black , it will only still click up a colour copy and non for the black? Which means all that black toner on the page is not accounted for. Is there no way to make the machine click up a black reading when doing a colour copy??.

Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, when doing color, the copier will only give you a click in color count, otherwise you would be double dipping...... One color output would produce two clicks. Also don't forget that black in color is a composite back that uses all 4 colors and a click does show up in K DV count and MK.
As for the low K yield, are they doing mostly color on those copiers?

Are you accounting for the color meter when calculating expected yield? 5% is 5% regardless of printing in b/w or color. A color print still uses black toner.
