Is the Kyocera 3010i a good machine which and easy to service?? We are about to get a couple and cover our client with a maintenance agreement. We have experience with the previous style, Kyocera 300i (X). The paper feed is now going up the right side on the newer 3010i. Please any review from the service side would be much appreciated .....are they great or are they total dogs to work on.

Kyocera b/w machines are generally bulletproof,just change the feed rollers and give it a good pm and they usually do pretty well -

no tools needed for basically all routine service on the 3010 and similar models. vacuum is needed to get all the paper dust out of the registration brush area, though. Fuser, drum, developer, tray feed units, mpt feed roller and sep pad, doc processor feed and sep - all removable without tools. Charge roller instead of corona - much preferred over the 300i.
Also has a super-simple drivetrain, in case something breaks, it doesn't get much simpler or faster to deal with than this.Comment

I would tend to agree that this machine is extremely easy to work on.
The only criticism I would offer of this machine is the ADF.
It's been an issue on the earlier models that it has replaced, as well. The 2550, and 3060 both had the same design. You start seeing intermittent multi-sheet feeding almost right out of the box if it's asked to do anything more than copy a few sheets. Customers who do a lot of scanning will experience a lot of frustration with this.Comment
