    TaskAlfa 6002i Intermittent transfer problem

    Greetings all

Have a band new machine sent to a Demo and after a week it intermittently will print out a job and it looks like the transfer is not working. The next job work fine.

Has anyone seen this on these new models?

    Thank You

    Hi

Not sure if this applies, but I have had issues with the DV units not fully locking. We have made it a practice to reseat and relock all DV units on ALL deliveries with these new boxes.

    Good Luck.

This machine was hooked up to a Copytrac system. And we think it has something to do with that. The customer gave us some more info that she did not initially give us.

Some print jobs that they send to the device will say the job was complete but nothing was printed. The faded (no transfer) prints and copies only happen in complete jobs. What I mean about that is, every job that is faded is the whole job. the fading never happens like in the middle of a job. We could some what duplicate the issue if we choose to end the job from the Copytrac console while the machine is still printing. The machine would stop but the last 2 pages would be faded.

We are going to contact the Copytrac people and see if they can send us another cable that connects the device to the copytrac console.

I will update with the solution.

does the 2 series still use the mini belt? I have had a 4501i doing exactly the same thing you described, but switching out the transfer belt seem to have cured it.

Turns out to be a machine problem. we replaced the device with another brand new device and it worked.
