    Kyocera-Mita KM-4530

I had a problem in the feeder in this machine where the paper would get past the feed rollers then go into a misfeed. I was wondering what could be causing it and if anyone else has experienced this problem? Any help appreciated.

Your question is pretty vague. What jam code are you seeing? what "feed rollers" are you referring to?

The rollers looked as good as the new ones I was going to install. The feeder worked for me, not sure where the misfeeding is or was taking place.

I didn't experience any misfeeding while I was there, based on what customer told me I was led to believe it wasn't pulling the originals in. However I'm not sure. Customer is to leave the misfeed in place if it happens again. I just thought I would ask the question in case there is a known feed problem with this feeder where the obvious was not seen. The feed pulleys in question are the primary pulleys which appear to be new.

            First things first:

Print out a jam report - it does give you an idea of how many jams and where the jams have occured even if you can't fault the doc feeder.

Second - if the feed tyres look ok and the paper does go past the pick up roller go into simulation and check the sensors. Even check the the doc feeder with or without paper in sim mode.

These sim codes are there to help the engineer and does eliminate a lot of guess work.
