    4501i background after 1 copy

    I have a 4501i that gets background on copies after 1. The first copy is perfect. Any thoughts?

      All original toners? What's the count on dk dv and other parts?
      I would assume a mc / hvps issue, but that is without any data.

          Sometimes you can get away with changing the DV settings in U140. Have done this successfully on a few units and it solved the problem. Had one just today where the settings were adjusted several weeks ago and seemed to solve the issue only to have it crop up again. Replaced the DV unit to solve the problem. One page at a time no background and no problem, run 5 or more pages and it produces the background. You may have to replace the DV to resolve.

              Upped Sim 100 dc component and seems ok for now, I will keep an eye on it...
