Ta 7551 ci Duplexing issue jam code 1313 1314

Hello,

I am having an issue duplexing, replaced the paper conveying unit, the guide feed assembly and another paper in the finisher. I get a code 1313 and code 1314, the manual is asking me to perform u031 and check the actuator but I number one can't find the actuator and the U031 doesn't really do anything...

Furthermore the paper accordions up at the guide assembly and there is a bulletin about "break pads" on the underside of the guide assembly that I might not have installed....

Has anyone had issues with duplexing?

those jam codes are for the middle sensor(before registration). Check the condition of the clutch(rust) for the middle feed unit(buried under all the stuff behind the main power switch)?

I concur with sparkycivic. I had this issue with a 6501i that drove me crazy. It only happened while duplexing. The problem was a rusty middle roller clutch. After replacing the clutch I haven't had a 1313 or 1314 jam since. It is located behind the feed unit ass'y (not part of it). Item 63 on page 18 of the parts manual. Part no. 302KV44041.

I would do the break pads you are talking about along with the clutch the others have mentioned.
