    kyocera fs 6525, olivetti 253

When making copies from platten glass is ok. But when i use adf have problem.
When i arrived customer show to me some copies fron ADF and they was with grey background, letters in these copies where light. Also there ware an area about 6 cm from the bottom and an other from behind that there were no letters and backgroud.
When i made some sample copies background was even lighter and blank areas bigger.
I cleaned optics and when i made some copies now they were white (blank)
Any idea where the problem is?

Check the scanner lock at the back maybe it was pushed in.

There was one kyo model that had scanner lock on the site. It would appear to be unlocked and the optics would move but it was engaged slightly causing the optics to snag and hesitate at the home position causing weird symptoms

Do you still have scans or photos of those? And have you found some errors in logs there? Not sure whether or not - there probably has to be some calibration procedure for adf. Need to check through service mode.
