kyocera taskalfa 5500i showing error code F000. please help me with a solution to fix the issue.I tried to update firmware but only "welcome" screen appears and showing error again .

The code means that the display panel is not communicating with the main board. Either the main board is dead(check opening/closing door, motors run?) , usb cable or other cable bad, panel is bad, or main low voltage board is bad. Also check for short-circuit or damage to any USB ports.

I had a bad power low voltage board die recently which did not produce any +24vdc, and a code 0980. No idea what killed it, no visible damage, during a copy job.

F000: Panel􃧙Main board communication error

1) Check connection of the harness (Panel to Main board), (Main board to HDD) and connectors and check function.
2) Check contact of the DDR memory by detaching and reattaching. and check function. replace it if available and check function.
3) Format the HDD and check function. (U024 FULL formatting)
4) Execute the U021 Memory initializing to initialize the controller backup memory and check function.

I had the same F000 code on a 4500i. What ultimately fixed it for me was replacing the hard drive. I recommend trying this first.

Thanks, I already changed HDD .not able to open service mode.problem is with main pwb.I confirmed it by changing main PWB from another working machine

Check the connector on the harness that runs thru the "arm" to the control panel.
