    Kyocera FS-3640MFP printing/faxing issues

We have an FS-3640MFP that when it receives faxes, it will not print from the PC's until after the fax is finished. Normally this would not be an issue but when this client receives faxes, it receives on an average fax about 12 or more pages with detailed pictures, so it takes several minutes+ to receive the fax and in the meantime print jobs are being sent to it, but it drops some of the print jobs while it is waiting, but if you turn off the MFP and turn it back on, it prints the print jobs that seem to have been lost. I was there with the IT person and we did a continual ping and had no issues, we bypassed the surge, swapped patch cables, etc., still the same result. The IT person told me that the MFP jammed up when I stepped away and the MFP coded out with a 4200 error, but was working fine when I returned. I'm stumped at this point. I'm wondering if I used fax forwarding and created a folder and sent the incoming faxes to it, if it would alleviate the issue, or if I added more memory to it if it would help out, as it just has the standard memory. Any ideas?

Go into default fax settings ( I think it's Common Settings, Fax Settings, Reception, Batch Print ) and turn on Batch Print if you have not done so yet.
The faxes will not print until reception is complete. This will free up the machine for prints and copies.

We do this for all small machines including 3550's 3560's.

The only possible problem is small fax memory that is not up-gradable.

    hope that helps.
