[Jamming] A3-2 sided jamming in the feeder with jam code 9500

    Dear All,

Recently we brought 30 Units TASKalfa 5500i machine & out of 30,16 machines are showing the same compalint of jamming A3 2 sided while copying or scanning multiple pages only with jam code 9500.

Tried to inter change the feeder from working machine and confirmed the issue was only from the feeder.

Updated the firmware to the lastest, but still same

Tried to interchage the motors in the feeder, but still same.

When we enable mixed side original it was working fime with out jamming.

    A4 2-sided working fine

    A4R also working fime

A3 single side also working fine.

A3 single page 2 sided also working good.

Only A3 2 sided with multiple pages cause jamming in the feeder with jam code 9500.

Kindly advice any possible solution for the issue.

    Thanks in advance.

There is a one way bearing gear in the original duplexer switchback rollers that could be slipping.
Could also check the switchback loop pressure.

Yeah there's a small pad that the switchback solenoid hits as it is fired outward, the pad gets damaged and sticks to the solenoid pin.
I usually remove the pad and replace with something a bit more durable, even put mylar over it. In field i just turn it upside down until i can return.
