KM -8530 Feed Tray Problems

Have two machines, each with a strange problem, both involving feed trays. On one machine, Tray 1 is greyed out on the status panel. Have tried rebooting and swapping feed trays, but it just doesn't want to acknowledge Tray 1. The rest of the trays are operational.

On the second mahine, none of the trays will unlatch when you try to open them, it's like none of the solenoids are working. I've removed the actual latches for the time being to get the drawers open. Has anybody seen these types of problems?

This machine I have an answer for. The tray is in fault isolation. More than likely the lift had a problem and disabled the tray. To re-enable go to service mode 25, option 1, switch 18, make sure bit 0 is set to 0 (off). The other problem I'm not sure..

Thanks Kyoceradude, that fixed the greying out problem, much appreciated. Unfortunately it now seems we have a lift motor problem on the same tray, but at least the printer knows it's there now. And Mark B, yeah none of the trays open even when they're all closed. Anyway, thanks for the response guys, I'll follow up when we find out what's causing the other problems.
