    FS-C8525MFP, "Maintenance Kit A"

    FS-C8525MFP, "Maintenance Kit A"

I'm an Indy and have no experience with Kyocera. This machine has a total of 207K on the clock, 157K mono and 50K color and showing in the display "Maintenance Kit A".
Print quality is rather OK and the customer would be satisfied with it except that cassette #1 has massive feed problems.

    Questions:
    - Is #1702MY0UN0 the right # for the maintenance kit A, MK-896A, and can this kit be installed easily or does it need a firmware update too?
It has now FW 2MY_2F00.007.002 2014.08.29

    - Is it right that Kit A is mainly for the K system + Transfer + Fuser + Feed Roller parts?
    - Kit B, MK-896B seems to be for the color part of the machine, Correct?
    - Kit MK-470 contains paper feed rollers. Are they not already included in Kit A?

    - Are the rollers in the primary feed unit identical to the rollers being used in the small mono printers? I would like to replace them instead of using a new primary feed unit to begin with before getting the complete maintenance kit A.

I would love to keep this customer, they have many mono printers which I am maintaining, but I am a little afraid of the color beast. Do not want to order expensive kits and than rolling into other problems or unexpected costs.

    Thanks!

    Hans

Maintenance kit A comes with tray one feed ass'y. Slides in and out no screws. I believe the rollers are the same as most Kyoceras but the ass'y is easier.

    MK470 is adf rollers

SIM 251 in maintenance mode can clear the message if you want to ride it out a while longer.

      Thanks, great info.

That would be nice since the Drum Unit as well as the Developing Unit, both K, have been replaced recently.

Is the tray one feed ass'y available separately and if, what would be the part #?

I have the SM but a parts manual and others if available are much welcome. Thanks!
