What is wrong with using the CD? Adding the device with the Windows embedded driver is only a subset of the driver, not the complete driver. Just use the DVD or the latest driver from a USB drive. We always power on the mfp first and when it requires the install of the driver we use have disk and install the driver that way to avoid the partial install from the windows driver.
