    DF-7110 jam 6510

This 5052ci with DF-7110 jams intermittently with a 6510.04.86.01.03, a DF exit sensor stay jam.

Jams indicate paper is feeding from drawer 4. Drawer 3 has the same paper loaded in it. I would have expected some 6510.03 jams. Maybe they are equally likely to happen if that drawer is used.

Destination is tray A, the stapling output tray.

Here is what worked for me.

It was recommended by Kyocera to one of our field techs.

The finisher came into the shop and I installed the new style bundle eject switch and wiring.

There is a lot of disassembly.

how long did it take for you to solve this?

why no report back on the fix until now?

I think I did this job in June of 2019.

The fix works for J6511 jams on the DF-7120 as well, they are basically the same thing.

I posted my solution in a thread started by someone else about this problem. DF-7120 J6511

It is difficult getting the bundle eject section in and out of the machine, and there is a trick to putting the belts back on the side registration unit where the new style switch and wiring are installed.

The job took me several hours, give yourself a lot of time.
