    Ecosys M6535cidn deforming envelopes

    Hi Guys,

I have another issue I'm hoping someone out there can help me with.

I'm working on an Ecosys M6535cidn, that is deforming and wrinkling envelopes, possibly by the fusing unit. Has anyone seen this particular issue, and is there a fix for this issue?

    Thanks!

Depending on the type of envelopes they will trap air and wrinkle. Try different envelopes or put a weight on them for a day or two.

Thanks for the tip! However, I just answered my own question. It's so basic, I'm almost ashamed to admit it! Under Menu, go to Common Settings, Cassette/ MP Tray Settings, Select MP Tray, then Select Media Type, then select Envelope. Duh! This slows down the fuser so it doesn't wrinkle the envelopes.

slows down the fuser to bond the toner to the page.. that setting also relives pressure in the fuser for thicker media
