Pin Point scanning is great when it works. Make sure to get version 3 otherwise you can not browse any sub folders. A warning on the scan to email with Pin Point scan. It does not scan to email directly. It sends the file to the computer where it opens the default mail app and the file is an attachment.

Thanks. Found it. Its like the mobile print app. Not real practical for a office. Take document to the machine. Then back to desk. Then scan. Then back to machine to pick up document. Then back to desk. Too many thens!

Another option is scanning to a USB drive. plug it in to the copier, scan to it, take it back to the computer and retrieve the scan.

I've also heard of people plugging a USB drive into a router and setting it up for SMB scanning. I haven't had any luck with this myself at the office, but im pretty sure it's a glitch in the firmware of the router.

Pinpoint scan is OK. I would like it better if there was an option to just automatically populate a list of available computers to scan to rather than using a pin.

Could also setup a custom box, and have the customer download it from the copier's web interface.

Why can't they use scan to folder and import the file?

You can setup Pin Point scan to scan to a folder on the network drive that is shared.
