Kyocera 255c giving message "Only black and white copy is available"

Hey, has anyone ever seen this message before. Machine was working great Friday, but Monday morning the customer comes in and it's saying this. Can't print in color or make color copies. I tried unplugging machine for awhile to no avail. and it has the latest firmware updates.

No, they don't use log in #'s and all toners have at least 25% or more and are genuine oem.

There is no 906 reset for the 255/255c/6525/8525 series machines.

Never mind, I got it. I had to reinitialize the memory in the service mode, must have had one heck of a corrupted data job in it though to make it do this. I've seen Kyocera's do some flakey things due to that, but I never saw a color copier refuse to do color but work in every other way.

While it is true that there is no U906 Mode there is an Enable Repaired Unit mode.

Press the System Menu/Counter key. > Select [Adjust/Maint.] using the cursor up/down keys. > Select
[Service Setting] using the cursor up/down keys. > Select [Enable Repaired Unit] using the cursor
              up/down keys. > Press [Start].
The selection for [Enable Repaired Unit] will only appear if there is a disabled unit able to be reset.

This one is always useful to try. It's "Free"
