I tried to set the scan shortcut but machine won't remember the settings. (Duplex, 200x200 etc ..)
I worked according to the instructions but failed. Can anyone help?



1 Display the screen.
In the Copy, Send, Document Box, or FAX screen, select as follows.
[Functions] > [Add/Edit Shortcut]
2 Register the shortcuts.
1 Select [Add].
2 Select the key to which you wish to register the shortcut.
3 Select the function screen to display with the shortcut.
4 Enter the shortcut name > [Next] >save

Can anyone please explain own version of shortcut editing for and users?

The device is at the customer place therefore, I can not play with settings.

Registering a shortcut is for one setting only. You are trying to set multiple settings which can only be done with a program key. Setup the job as you want it and then go to programs and register it as program [1 for example] naming it to whatever the user will recognize to perform that job. Once registered as a program, the user then just selects the program and all the settings are recalled and set and the user simply has to hit the start key.

Sorry not familiar with this brand. Which button do you mean by the "program key"?

Program Mode


When registering favorites in program mode, configure the copy function, send function, fax function (Only on products
with the fax function installed.), destination, or other setting to register.


1 Display the screen.
1 Select [Send] on the Home screen.
2 Select the sending functions and destinations that you want to register in the program.
3 Select [Favorites].
2 Register the favorite.
1 [Menu] > [Add]
2 Select the job type.
3 Select [Program].
4 Enter the new favorite name > [Next]
5 Select [Save].


The favorite is registered.
