    M3540idn & DV-3100: yield?

I'm trying to see what the expected yield is for the dv unit for the M3540.

We were looking at one making squeaking noises from around that area and are considering replacing the dv unit. Machine has around 93,000 pages on it

The Developer unit is part of the maintenance kit which has a 300K yield.

You might check out the drum unit. I find that it's a source of noise more often than the dev unit. Also, there is a bulletin on squeaking coming from these units from the dev or reg clutches. There is a dry lubricant you can get from Kyocera to take care of this problem. The bulletin also has a sound file that gives you a sample of the squeak.

They have decided to replace the machine. Started having jamming problems too. I'll see what happens with the machine. And check back with an update.

        Thanks

I'm not able to attach the bulletin or the sound file but it you have access to the Kyocera tech site the bulletin is this: QA_I039_2LV_0102_SB. Might be handy for future reference.

Just tried it. The PDF opens but when I clicked the link for the sound file I get a file doesn't exist message.

Hmm, you're right. I guess they stopped sharing the link. Here's a dropbox link, see if you can download it from that:
