I am having a 1102 scan error on a m6526cdn. I also have a 5501i scanning to the same shared folder on the same network with no errors. I know the 1102 error is user name, password or path issue, I even tried ip address instead of hostname, no dice. I looked at all of the settings on the 6526cdn and compaired them to the 5501i and they are all the same. The firmware on the 6526cnd is 2PW 2F00.002.102 for the main MMI. I checked the KDA connect but did not see too much for firmware besides the color registration firmware. I also ran a U21 just to make sure I was starting with factory settings and re entered all the dns, ipconfig, smtp, etc. Any suggestions? Is the firmware to date?

Re: Scan to smb 1102 erroe on a M6526cdn
First, update the firmware no matter what the file says. If the address books are the same. Download the setup utility from the KDA site. Use U917 to export the address book and One Touch to the USB in the side of the control panel. Use the setup utility to either open or convert the address book from the 5501i. When you open or convert the software will ask what model to open as, choose the 6526cdn. Once converted or saved as you can then import the one touch and address book back into the machine. This way you know 100% if it is an address book issue. No guarantee this will solve the problem or not though. -

So, apparently it has the smbv2. I appreciate the input. I know the firmware is date coded 2014.07.18 ( 2PW_2F00.002.031). I looked for any updated versions but I just seen one for the color registration issues.
I did see where the m6526cidn shares the same firmware, for certain updates, I think for the registration. But, for the rest it does not mention anything about the cdn being included on the cidn firmware, and was wondering if I could use the cidn firmware on the cdn, as the cidn seems to be newer firmware. I am reluctant to try it as I do not want to run the risk of possibly "bricking" it.

Re: Scan to smb 1102 erroe on a M6526cdn
its coming from a different ip address. Just a thought. Smb is a pain sometimes. I had one that quit working one time and i tried everything. deleted the person out of address book and reentered same info and it started working again.Comment
