    [Jamming] 3051ci Jam 4019

This copier was giving multiple J40xx jams which was resolved by replacing the entire right conveying door unit. At the same time I replaced the bypass unit also with a brand new one. All jams were resolved except one.
Jam 4019. Struggling with this one. Jams occur after cardstock passes registration sensor. It stops midway thru the fuser. Only when using the bypass. Made sure loop sensor values were correct with new door. This one seems to be stumping me. Any suggestions guys ?

We have one in our shop that is doing the same thing. The funny part is if you tell the machine that it has anything but but card stock it will feed the card stock. As soon as it is set to card stock 4019 occurs.

There is that guide on the machine side by the reg sensor. Sometimes it gets bent. take it off straighten it and put it back on.

Its not a bent guide. If I put card stock in the bypass and leave the setting to plain it will feed the card stock all the way through the machine. Set machine to card stock and 4019.

Have you checked the settings in U51 for loop detection?

This sounds familiar but would have happened years ago on a 3050ci flavor... Firmware fixed I believe

Or what happens if you change the paper weight of Cardstock to something different? Or change Custom 1 to the same weight setting as Cardstock, does it jam or a higher weight???

I'm thinking theres a weak clutch in the conveying (middle) drive section. Any rust back there??

I'd replace the entire rego assembly next if you've done the clutches and door

What happens if you run regular paper using "Card Stock" settings... if it jams, then it's a timing problem. If it doesn't jam, then it's a mechanical issue.

Do you have a finisher installed? If so, I've seen the bridge unit (attachment kit) cause jams when paper is run through the machine at half speed. There are one way gears inside that get gummed up.

I forgot about this one, I have seen this before. Be careful when you take that drive apart.

I don't have a solution yet. But I will not give up until I do
