I got in about a dozen of these machines awhile back used with low meter. I've been checking them all out and getting them ready for resell and I'm chunking all the finishers as I have no desire to sell them configured that way. All machines I removed it from did fine except one, it keeps saying finisher not installed. Well duh, I took it off. I can't seem to get it to unrecognize a finisher, it wants it on there. Anyone ran across this before?

Re: 6525 won't unrecognize finisher
If you have fully removed the attachment kit and it still errors out you can try the following:
Press the System Menu/Counter key. > Select [Adjust/Maint.] using the cursor up/down keys. > Select [Service
Setting] using the cursor up/down keys. > Select [Enable Repaired Unit] using the cursor up/down keys. > Press
[Start].
The selection for [Enable Repaired Unit] will only appear if there is a disabled unit able to be reset.
Hope that works for you. -

It won't let me access system menu with the error code 8990, that was my first thought too. I was able to get into service mode so I reinitialized the memory to no avail. Put finisher back on and it works fine.Comment

Not sure if the open door is going to work since you want the system settings and not the maintenance mode. If it doesn't work out, try putting it back together with the finisher and the bridge, and then going to the reset disabled in the system menu. Then take apart. Just a guess.Comment
