    [Error Code] Kyocera Ecosys M3540dn

    Good day

    i am sitting with an Ecosys M3540dn that is giving me a cassette error on the display , the paper tray is not lifting the paper at all , any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated

    the paper tray lifts as you push it in,on the bottom of the paper tray is a white plastic piece that contacts the metal bar on the base of the machine, bend the base up slightly to contact the bottom of the tray to make the tray "pop" up

      Thank you for your reply , the issue was the gears on the sub frame shafts are broken so the lift motor cant lift the tray

        Are your sure that is a 3540? 3550/60 has the lift motor.Not a fun fix!!

          Put a paper tray in from a 3540. Better than tearing whole machine apart.

              just have to mod the spring loaded tray slightly using knife to make it fit into the copier, otherwise works perfectly, no lift motor needed, no 4 hour ordeal to swap broken parts...
