    TA 4052ci scanning issue

Hi all. Got a strange issue when scanning to email. When I add e mail address via a web browser sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, I get server connection error. When the same e mail address input via a control panel it works every time. No authentication used. Port 25. IP or host for SMTP makes no difference. Sender address is set.
Technical support suggested possible character missing/added, currupted when using web browser to add e mail address. Used different computers and OS including phone. Firmware latest. New copier never been anywhere else.
Possible issue with customer SMTP? Yet to try g mail. As customer insisting on own SMTP.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you

I have a SMPT to go account I use to check those weird issues like that. If it works that way you know its a smpt issue or email issue.

try the gmail setup.. if it works then it is in their setup....

why haven't you gotten their IT dept involved?

I never go poking around in someones server/settings with out their IT dummies there.

I have indeed. They say it's not their problem. Back to me.
        Forgot to say it's a 3102 error
