    3252ci Jamex coin op

The other day I installed a Jamex/envisionware coin op. The harness came with some instructions for U206 settings to enable and change cost per copy. Everything seems to work but when you put 4 bucks in coin op it just returns it to to the customer, anything below that works fine. Envisionware says its a copier issue. Was wondering if anyone had any experience in this area.Ideas would be appreciated

I will assume this is our EnvisionWare version of the model 9557 please correct me if I'm wrong (6 buttons on the Jamex main board). I doubt this is a copier issue. A Kyocera can not cause a vend station to return change but software can.
    Just to clarify a bit.
When they hit the 4.00 mark, is the 4.00 returned or are coins/bills just rejected after that?

Do you remember is it mattered if the 4.00 was is in coins or bills?

Are copies vended OK or is this only an issue when vending print jobs? A good test would be to disconnect the USB cable from the Jamex board. Reset the vend station or as EnvisionWare refers to it, the CBA. See if it will now accept more than 4.00 without returning/rejecting it automatically. If it functions correctly with the USB cable disconnected, you can pretty much rule out the MFP as the cause. It's likely software issuing a return change command.

    Note:
The U206 settings are very specific and no other values should be entered other then what is in the Jamex directions. Although it says it's a "Price" it is not the price that is charged to the patron. The actual price charged is set in the vend station.

Feel free to contact us when on site. The newer model Jamex can be networked and log files can be retrieved to help troubleshoot odd issues like this.
