Kyocera Taskalfa 8353 operation panel locking up

Has any body seen the operation panel lock up from installation please?

I believe there is going to be a new firmware fix but as yet there has been nothing posted on the Km eu site.

I have tried disconnecting the Hdd and have also swapped it for another one with out success and have back dated the firmware.

Any suggestions please, thjis model is the newer version of the 8052.

can it possibly be just dust around the bezel or disconnected ribbon ?? what exactly is meant by "lock up"?

When you say lock up? Do you mean that touching an item on screen nothing happens? Have you run U201 to initialize the touch panel? It could be nothing more than the unit is seeing where you touch not vectoring to a machine function.

Try unplugging the operation panel and plugging it back in, take the cover off the back of the panel and remove the 3 connectors and plug them back in

There is new firmware for the panel lock up it is Eval ver. for it

To add to Brian's post, the only place I have seen this new firmware is when I have been updating through the KFS platform. It appears to be a widespread problem, as I have seen it for many models.
