Is there anything special about installing a fax option into a CS 2050? Haven't put one into this model before. Hopefully install boards then plug and play? Thx for your thoughts

It's not as bad as a Falcon 2, but not as easy as the Falcon 3 or 1820. You have to take off the small back cover, install a couple boards, add some stuff on the front panel, and run sim U601 and U602. The fax number and name are hidden in the Register button on the front panel, while confirmation report settings are in the Fax settings in the System Menu.
The included instructions are decent, plus they have cool words I'd never heard before like "incurvate." -
stickers, new underlay graphics/text and display plate is the most trouble you're going to have on this one. pretty straightforward. fax not as user unfriendly as the scanning on this model.Comment
